CM - are you watching The Victorian Pharmacy on Thursday nights???? I saw the first one last week and found it so interesting. My G-G grandfather was a chemist!

No - I missed it last week but have it in my head to watch tomorrow. Was it good then?

I did watch the secret life of chickens - it was quite good. It showed a hen catching a mouse (or similar) and eating it whole, head first - I was totally amazed - never thought they would do that!!

When I had my four black rocks, a poor vole made the mistake of diving into their run to avoid Merlin. The four hens dispatched it unmercifully. It was horrid to watch, but they were so quick there was nothing to be done about it.

It was excellent. The same woman that did The Victorian Farm and a Professor of Chemistry from UEA I think and a PhD student who is the "apprentice". There was also a very interesting herbalist woman.
