You are clever Mags .... Yes, a Belted (or Banded) Galloway!

Quite a rare breed. They come in brown with a white belt too, which is even more rare.

My local butcher has a large poster in his shop showing various breeds of cow, it has always fascinated me and the butcher gave me a smaller version of it for my children when they were younger.

Yes, Velvet - one of our favourite walks around Itchenor - not too far but not a daily walk. Met the lady farmer last time we were there.
