New Car

Well with Christmas just around the corner I have the unenviable task of looking for another car . I had a wonderful weekend, last week, at Fran's but unfortunately during the early hours of Sunday morning a group of lads tried to steal my car. They damaged the door getting in and then while trying to start it they completely broke the steering column . Due to the cars age it is a write off. I now have to wait for the insurance company to pay out, wait for the cheque to clear and then go looking for another car . I have a hire car at the moment supplied by the insurance company but that has to be returned on Thursday. I just hope they get a move on because I desperately need transport because of the kids and where we live.
What makes it worse is the fact that there was a £15,000 Mercedes parked near my £400 L regd Cavalier. Just my luck .

Re: New Car

It got broke into at Frans thats terrible,. I am under the understanding that Cavaliers, escorts are the easiest cars to break into. I know I had a MKII escort until it was stolen.

What terrible luck hope the check comes through quickly. Only thing is I hope you get the reliability - Best of luck what are you thinking of getting?

Re: New Car

Got my car just before christmas. I have got a Rover 620 GSDi. It is really nice with leather interior, electric everything, air conditioning and central locking and it is black. I adore black cars. Hopefully this will last me a bit longer than any other car I've had before as I don't have much luck with cars.

Re: New Car

Thanks Alex. I was without a car for 2 days between the hire car going back and getting my new one. I was totally lost without it. I needed to get into Llangefni and we only have 2 buses a day that go there from our village.

Re: New Car

and when you dont use a bus anymore I find it can be quite scary lol. I find myself wanting to shout at the bus driver to either hurry up or slow down!

Re: New Car

I know what you mean. I felt sick on the way back it was horrid. Yet I used to go everywhere on a bus when I didn't drive and it never bothered me.
