Experienced? Well it's a good while since we had a dog as I've been working full-time for several years but we had a lovely black cocker who lived to be 13 and was a great childhood companion to my two children. Also I was brought up with cockers so know the breed well, but it's been a while, as I said, so a bit of a steep re-learning curve coming my way!
