My dogs

My other babies

Bizkit, my main man and my best friend. He is a English Bull Terrier x Whippet and I rescued him from the RSPCA when he was 8 weeks old, my first dog of my own. He turns 6 this year and is the love of my life. He understands me totally and knows how I feel before I do most of the time, he's listened to me moan, listened to me cry and made me laugh and smile when I thought I couldnt. I'm blessed to have him in my life

Skye is a loopy, loopy clown dog! She also turns 6 this year and i rescued her as she was a stray to work. She was found in some bushes with her puppy collar embedded in her neck, she was about 6 months old. Those injuries were fine but dealing with her mind was another matter. She was unresposive, there was nothing there, she simply sat. she did not know how to respond to most things and would not walk, she literally either sat or lay, she was not confident enough to move or get up. After almost a week of her being like this we were not sure what we were going to do, she had no life in her despite being alive. At that time I used to take Bizkit into work with me so I began to put him into her kennel with her at work, at first she was still unresponsive despite bizzi's best friendship efforts. Then one day I caught her standing up! Well this signalled a new start. She began to tentatively follow him and once she was walking about we went on small walks together. she was petrified of traffic but looked to Bizzi for comfort and he gave it. She took comfort in his confidence, she began to kick up a fuss when we were going home and got so excited when we came back, her friends were there! She was becomming very confident with people too and her eyes came to life. How could I not bring her home when Biz had saved her?! So that is how she came into my life and she never looked back, she is a happy, confidant, silly dog and I struggle to keep up with her boundless energy. Her tail has never stopped wagging since and Biz is the most important thing in her life, she relies on him so much and they could never be parted. She is a Labrador x, dont know what the other half is, something as equally nutty, spaniel perhaps. she has wonderful shorty, wonky legs and eyes you could sink into

And lastly Scampy, a 8 year old Toy Poodle whom I fostered on and off for a year for an old lady whenever she was ill. This lady was a client and I looked after the dog for the dogs sake, she was severly disabled and I learnt later than I should have that this poor lad spent his life tied to a table leg because he continually peed and humped eveything. After I knew of this I could not stand having to send him back to this everytime he had been with me, it broke my heart. I worked so hard with him behaviouraly, got him castrated and made him a different dog but still she refused to see he had no quality of life with her. When he was coming to me he was dull and depressed for the first few days untill he realised he had his freedom, he used to come to me a mess and go back to her immaculate. And then I decided the last time I could not and would not send him back, I'd fight her tooth and nail. Her care workers and one remaining family member urged her to give him up as she was averaging a 4 week hospital stay every 2 weeks, still she wouldnt relent so I involved the RSPCA. I felt I had no choice and after a while, she signed him over and he was mine. The relief was amaising, no more table legs for this chap. He has now been my dog for a little over 6 months and lives life to the full including off lead mad runs in the park and as many toys as he wants. He can sometimes be a grumpy old man towards the others and still has the odd accident if Im not quick enough but on the whole he is a delight, and I'm a big dog person!

his fav sleeping position!

Sorry this is so long Can talk about them forever!

I love your dogs! Bizzy is so scrummy! I never knew skye's story. How wonderful. Bizkit is some special dog to have pulled her around like that. And of course, cute lil scampy man.
