No space for tanks here but it might be nice to set one up for my mum & dad. Are they easy? Do they live in cold water? They are certainly attractive
They are parrot fish, chichlids, which mean they have teeth! they need a heated tank, and filtration, apart from that are very easy to look after....I have just lost one I had for 9 years...These babies will be white though...

Re: babies

Wow - they look like butter beans at the moment Still, I'm sure we could get Karen on the case and she'd come up with the best names ever . . .

I've not really had any chance to observe fish at close quarters (other than on my plate ), so I'm quite looking forward to seeing these little blobs develop

Re: babies

Just done a google and I think I'll give the fishes a miss. Weekly partial water change, among the crumblies, sounds a bit too much of a bind

Oh Donna - you'd have to watch for all their little character traits and have (in no particular order - I promise! ) the bossy one, the sweet one, the crazy one, the dippy one, the fierce one, the know-all one, the quiet, thoughtful one, the rebel, etc etc
(runs away, before Catsey members start saying 'oh yeah? Which am I then?)
