Those romantic sounding names from the stories of the Raj - Jaipur, Simla, Shrinegar etc etc
and a poor beleaguered town in the war ridden north of Sri Lanka with the most beautiful name ever - Trincomalee.

Or come here and visit Piddletrenthide, Briants Puddle, Puddletown; drink Piddle Beer - or if that doesn't grab you, go to visit Toller Porcorum and Rhyme Intrinsica

Some names really strike the imagination, like Timbuktoo, which I thought was made up but it's not!
My sis is in Hawaii right now and I just love to hear about Maui and Waikiki; they really are exotic and beautiful places in my mind.
I feel so lucky that I have been to places that I could only have dreamt about and sung about when I was younger;
I've left my heart in San Francisco, and been in Paris in the Springtime, said Ariverderci to Roma and been to New York, New York.
I'm sure there's lots more places to discover, and lots more song titles for me to hum!

Don't ask me why but Pontefract sounds good to me - I've never been there.

Oh, and Carcassonne in France.
