Croatia ~ Dubrovnik (1)This was our 3rd visit to Croatia but the first time to Dubrovnik. The more I see of this country and its wonderful scenery, the more I love it! Our hotel looked out over the Elafite Islands. The hotel itself was tiered 7 floors down the cliff with the Reception being on the 7th floor, Restaurant on the 6th....... a reverse layout to the traditional hotel, therefore there were no lifts inside the building - instead there were two fantastic panoramic lifts operating at an angle up and down the outside of the hotel with a door which opened directly into each floor. Lift from outside....  View from inside the lift.....  Our balcony with raised gardens either side....  Cruise ship heading towards Dubrovnik ......  Views taken on our regular walks before breakfast....

Great pics, what stunning scenery; no wonder you like it so much. But that outside lift would be difficult for someone who's queasy about heights! How was the food? Did you meet any Croatian cats? |

Great pictures Mags. What a beautiful place. I loved the idea of that lift! Maybe not quite so nice in a howling gale though - glad you had lovely weather. |

Don't think I could have used that lift, I remember feeling very ill when I went up the CN tower as a teenager lol. Stunning pics though. |
