HorseWorld

Earlier this month we visited HorseWorld - a horse rescue, rehabilitation and rehoming charity. They do wonderful work there with the rescue horses, some of them have been cruelty and neglect cases and have been in a very poor state when they come into the Centre. They are treated and nursed by dedicated staff and if they are well enough, they are rehomed. The more serious cases that are unable to be rehomed are lovingly looked after at the Centre for the rest of their lives.

Here are some pics of the 'healing' horses .....

This shire horse is still undergoing treatment for a painful hoof, he has his leg immersed in a bucket of solution for 15 mins a couple of times a day, He is so good and doesn't attempt to remove his leg from the bucket ........ it's almost as if he can feel the relief it's giving him.......

Re: HorseWorld

Thanks for sharing those, Mags. Sickening that people could abuse and mistreat those lovely animals .....

Re: HorseWorld

it could bring me to tears thinking about the suffering that some animals needlessly have to go through

i like the happy endings for these ones, some of those horses are stunning.

if i won the lottery i would open a big rescue sanctuary for all animals

Re: HorseWorld

Now that sounds like the sort of place I'd love to work... Barring the fact I don't have any experience!!!

Those pics are gorgeous though.
