Re: Frustrated + despairing

Today was a better day - thank you elaine for the links. Ive read some & still have some to read. All very relevant.

She ate a little breakfast - didnt give much, just her renal food. Teatime she ate her food. Then this evening around 8 she asked out. Came in & looked pointedly at her food stand. Could she be asking for food? Made up a feed, set it down & she ate it. Do you know i honestly felt like i had won the lottery!

Re: Frustrated + despairing

Tonight at 8pm, I asked Katie if she wanted "dinner". She got immediately and went to the door [they are fed in the utility room]. Unfortunately Harvey got up too so the boy had to he distracted

Made up a small feed, set it down .... and she ate it

I did wonder if the Propalin that the vet put her on had upset her digestive system.

Adverse reactions apparently include decreased appetite and nausea. Advise continuing the drug as symptoms usually settle. Also says care should be taken for animals who suffer from renal disease

Hopefully she will continue to eat and we have turned a corner for the time being
