The Fog Pictures!!

Had too take some! The fog worsened today..walkies was unbearable..i had too keep the dogs on lead as it was just so thick where we walk you couldn't see a thing! Nearly got ran over on several occasions today as you just can't see anything..and it's difficult to judge the lights in the road. It really is terrible..lots of people are really struggling around here!
These were taken at about half nine'ish this morning..it was quite terrible as you can see.

It slowly got worse as the day drew on..at one point it was completley white beyond the patio door!
These next ones were taken at about quarter to five..when returned from last walkies which was in itself dreadful, couldn't see anything beyond your nose!! It was totaly eiry with the darkness and fog everywhere! How people are managing too drive around i would never know..as have been told its still dreadful even with lights on.

Sorry they aren't the best pictures..but you get the idea!

Re: The Fog Pictures!!

It showed on the weather warning that Coventry is actually one of the worst hit places with the fog, to my knowledge coventry airport still is in lockdown with no flights coming or going anywhere..it's truly dreadful, i've heard of various buses not being able to carry out routes, postal people having great difficulties etc..aswell as just people in general really struggling. An aunt of mine got lost walking her dogs this afternoon it was so foggy! Had too go to the nearest visible 'landmark' and ring her hubby to come fetch her as she had strayed from her usual route and had no idea where she actually was.
It's truly terrible..really causing a lot of hassle. The dogs are very uneasy on walks..and as for the mogs, no inclination to go out in it at all!
In my years i've never seen fog like this..ever!

Re: The Fog Pictures!!

We've had it really bad here for a couple of days. Clearing now, but heading north I understand

Have you noticed how muffled and quiet things are when there is a thick fog?? Most spooky

Re: The Fog Pictures!!

I must say we have been lucky here in Dorset. There has been a little morning fog, but it seems to have cleared quickly! Also it was not half as bad as your photos!
