Getting a new kitten


We have bitten the bullet and we are getting a new kitten in 4 weeks time. He is blue and white and his name, at the moment, is Theodore, (after the Chipmunks). He has been born to a feral mum and a big longhaired, blue and white feral dad. Our local animal rescue centre has caught mum, she is also rearing 2 from another feral's litter. The rescue staff are also supplementing their feed. They are only 4 weeks old now so we have to wait until he is old enough to bring home.

Hopefully I will get photobucket to cooperate and post pics. He will be slowly introduced to the others over a few days, we plan to have a little enclosure for him where the other cats and dogs can see him and get used to him. I think he will be quite a big cat, which is great. They have quite a few kittens at the moment, it was very difficult to choose only one, I could have taken them all.

Brilliant name - I wonder whether it will suit him when he arrives. I've found cats sometimes suggest their own names!

Baby elephants do! (But they're just not that practical are they!!)
