Re: Good luck MrErin!!

Right then, jumped on the train.....not keen but i done it! went to birmingham backwards, goto the office to be greeted by an Army Officer asking 'Which Career?' I replied 'RAF, sir'

He pointed to a desk, which i sat at, pressed a buzzer and waited, Then a HUGE man aproached me, stuck his hand out and said hello, so i stood and shook his hand (Corpral Thurston) We had a chat about what i wanted to do, my other options available (Mechanical instead of Avionics) and other job roles, ie. Air traffic controller and Communications specialist, but i am keen on the avionics side of things.

Gave me a WAD of paper to fill in, loads of forms i have to get and a target for my fitness.

Since getting back, ive spent 30mins on the phone trying to gather all bits of paper/certificates i need etc so just a case of getting it all ready and getting it back upto the office. I then get a date for my Aptitude test, which im quite anxious about, as that dictates what jobs i will be suited for. After that i have another interview then a medical, all being well i have a fitness test (1.5miles in 12mins) i should breeze it, then final interview and off i go!

Thankyou to everyone who wished me Luck, very much appreciate, oh and ive had my hair cut! I really like it, and think it gives me a much more approachable look!

Thanks again

Eddy

Re: Good luck MrErin!!

Hope it all goes well, personally I couldn't manage 1.5 miles in 12 days! but then my knees aren't what they once were! Good Luck with the rest of the process.

Based on his tree climbing abilities he should get in easily.

Seriously best of luck Ed.

Thankyou to all for your support!

Very much appreciated, i do go out as often as i can training, few miles a day of walking/jogging is making a GOOD and BIG impact on my health and fitness, so just a case of sticking with it i guess
