I have read the book The Go-Between and it did have a cricket match in it (reaches into dark recesses of memory) but didn't see the film.

Was only watching Ollie Reed in 'The System' (little known early Michael Winner film) and said we ought to get Women in Love just for that wonderfully ahem . . . sexy scene

I remember this poem which to me is so evocative of England.....
