Daily thread - Sunday

Well, seeing as I have been 'missing' for so much of the time recently I thought I'd at lest start a dauly thread, have a little ramble and then scarper again
It's a nice day here, bright sun and blue sky. have a load of washing cooking and when I've hung that out I'll be off to the allotment. Spent a long time there yesterday. It's amazing just how quickly it stops looking good when you ignore it. What with the monsoon after May Day and then not getting there for family reasons, the weeds were having a field day. I was working there most of the day yesterday, tidying and planting out young plants I'd grown at home, which really could have done with being planted a week or ten days ago. It will all work itself out though - nature does that.
I am very stiff today! so a further workout will help me limber up.
The new cat from next door has taken to visiting and kipping on the roof of the log store, in the sun. I'll post a pic in a mo. My boys seem unconcerned!
Hope everyone has a good day

Re: Daily thread - Sunday

Morning DM, morning all, the sun is shining brightly here too Hubby is working this morning, then we are off to buy a window for Morse's house and we are also buying a new back door which will ensure the porch is more secure. By the time hubby has finished installing CCTV, security lighting, alarms, extra bolts and more secure doors, window and locks, Morse's house / run will be safer than Fort Knox

DM - enjoy yourself at the allotment and don't over do things

Hope everyone has a very relaxing Sunday

Morning all,

Hardly slept last night so feeling really washed out. But no time to catch up on sleep as have the washing/shopping/tidying/ironing chores that Sunday is full of.

Sun is out so that is good.

Morning all, it's a bright sunny day here......... have just done a load of washing and it's not hung out in the sunshine. This afternoon will be spent in the garden again, weeding and planting.
I must clean the kitchen windows too, the sun is now showing up the slightest mark

Hope you all have a good day

Re: Daily thread - Sunday

So sorry that some had a bad night Early nights all round methinks

OH is decorating the stairway - progress is being made! I will shortly be going out to mow the lawn in our increasingly tatty front garden and pull out the 5ft yew that sadly didn't make our relocating of it earlier in the year I don't want to invest too much time into the garden as the plan is to remodel it later this year - funds permitting. But it still needs maintenance.

Then this afternoon off to another party with Dominik - it's a go-kart racing one which at least he should enjoy!

Then after that we have offered to cook a traditional English Roast Dinner for Luise's (au pair) Father who's over for a long weekend visiting her (not staying with us though). That should be a bit surreal as he speaks little English and my German is limited to the most basic of sentences!

Oh, and the good news is that I think I've probably lost about a stone in weight - ALL my old clothes now fit me, and I bought the most gorgeous new underwear yesterday to celebrate; have a lookie . . . sooo pretty http://www.figleaves.com/uk/range.as...11%3A 02%3A36
