Mildred's babies....

Well what a long night/day it's been! Mildred started to have contractions at 4.30am this morning she delivered baby number one at 5.39am, two hours later and many contractions later she was tiring and it was obvious that she wasn't going to deliver the next baby. Got her to the vet and she had emergency C section at 8am this morning. The vet thought the baby she had been struggling to deliver would have died, it was breech and presenting very awkwardly plus which it turns out her cervix was not fully dilated, heaven knows how she managed to deliver that first baby The vet staff were able to resuccitate the stuck baby. So................She is proud mummy to 7 kittens (don't think anybody guessed that many?) but we are not out of the woods, the babies were very sluggish following the anaesthetic and are proving difficult to latch on for feeding.
Just want to say a huge thank you to Kay who was there on the other end of the phone for me at silly oclock this morning. Thank you Kay x

Not entirely sure of sexes yet it hasn't been my priority but she has..
1 Oriental black tortie girl
1 Oriental blue tortie tabby girl
1 Oriental black
1 Oriental blue
3 Siamese.

Will post some piccies later

The first kitten, the one born at home was the blue Oriental tortie tabby. It was a Siamese baby holding up the proceedings!

Here's a few early pics
