Re: Friday night trip to the vets

Well she hasn't moved tonight other than changing position in her bed. She was happy to eat and have a fuss. The vet said she might not move around much today but if she is the same tomorrow and there is no improvement, gonna have to get her in for sedation and a proper exam.

Sorry to have missed this Elaine have you got a camcorder or similar that you can set up to see is she moves when you are not around, she could be moving but not too much if it hurts.....Poor Millie I hope she is improved by tomorrow.

Re: Friday night trip to the vets

Much improvement this morning but still doesn't look good. I have been confining her to the living room in order that she can have as much rest and peace and quiet as possible. This morning I opened the door and she tried to walk over to me, she then walked into the bathroom with me. She is not walking well, a few steps then her hind legs buckle and she keels over but that's still much more movement than yesterday. I cannt quite work out which leg is giving her the most problem so it may be wise to take her back to the vets for sedation and a proper examination. I hope its not the good leg that has been damaged but if its the bad leg her insurance wont cover it.
Thank god Graham has been getting off shore work so he can pay for it.

Poor Millie, sounds like an investigation is necessary.

So Sorry Elaine, only just caught up with this story about Milly poor lass. Yes, she seems to have taken quite a knock, worth a further check up I think. Fingers crossed it all ends well x

Re: Friday night trip to the vets

Just spoken with the vet again. Although there is an improvement it's not the improvement he had hoped for, so she is in first thing tomorrow morning for x-rays etc.
