Jersey holiday pics.

First up, we visited Durrell Wildlife Park; these cheeky meerkats were so quick, to catch on camera was a nightmare! And they hid so well in the sandy soil, impossible to see.

The big male chief was NOT going to let his subordinates get the best parts of the cauliflowers!

Gorey harbour, we chose not to climb up the 100 steps to the castle, too hot!

Liberation Square in St Helier, where the islanders commemorate their freedom from Occupation under the Germans.

The beach cafe opposite our hotel, quiet beach nice for a cool drink after a long walk.

Re: Jersey holiday pics.

Thanks ladies.

Kazz we stayed just outside St Helier, on the coast road in the Hotel De Normandie, couldn't fault the service and location for buses etc. We have been to Jersey before in 1994 and 1995, in August to see the Battle of Flowers parade- fab spectacle. Yes, we'd go back there as it's very pretty and there's lots to do.

That beach was ok Angie but I must say not one of the best for bathing, the beach at St Brelades was much better, and the sea crystal clear.

Lovely!

I have some great memories of Jersey ... mainly the food as the seafood there was superb but also the beaches and the *whispers* shopping

Great pics PP. I grew up in Jersey and went to school there. I really missed the sandy beaches most-and the days spent surfing at St Ouen!- when I came to 'the mainland'.
