They are very delicate though Random and can die from stress quite easily. They are nervous but very beautiful creatures. I used to work with reptiles.
They eat crickets and locusts Dandy, If you stand still and hold one in your hand they will lash their tongue out which is like a coil in their mouths with a sticky stub on the end and this sticks to thier food so they can recoil it back into their mouths, only problem is they are live and its a bit gross.

There was a nice article several years back in Natural History magazine about them; I knew they ate insects with their prehensile tongue, but was wondering what Tink could buy to feed her. I suppose maybe you can buy live crickets...????

Yes pet shops that sell reptiles sell their food. They are very cheap. The only problem is when one gets loose and you can hear it all over the house..... They eat mealworms too (they smell)

Occasionally one gets in the house when it gets colder, and it drives me mad to hear it chirping! Odd, because I like to hear them outside on these early Autumn evenings...fortunately the resident cat usually catches it...and, ugh, eats it...
