Masquerade ball....

I graduate in July and need to find a mask for my graduation ball. I have bought a lovely dress and amazing shoes from Debenhams, so I dont want the mask to look cheap.

I was thinking of having a cat mask & as I am unsure what my hair will be like, I thought I should have a mask on a stick!

I thought this would be the best place to get some ideas ....
where can I get it from?
should it be the colour of my dress?
Or the colour of my shoes and bag?

Thanks

Tanya

Re: Masquerade ball....

I think it should match your dress rather than shoes and bag which are a bit incidental (i.e., shoes don't really show beneath dress and handbags don't tend to steal the limelight like a dress can). What colour is the dress? Do you have a pic? Next question is do you want a realistic or a stylised mask? Do you know yet how you are doing to do your hair?? Lots of factors to consider

Re: Masquerade ball....

Thanks for the suggestion!

This is the dress ...

http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/...7719_328175_-1

and I have a shaw (?!) to go with it (same colour as the dress, from Debenhams)

Then I decided to go for black shoes and bag. I thought I may look a bit red otherwise!

So here are the sandals that I have bought to go with the dress ....

The bag is small, same material as the shoes and also has diamante on it.

Re: Masquerade ball....

OK, well I would go with a black + spangly mask to balance the red of the dress/shawl and add drama

Re: Masquerade ball....

Thanks Yola!

I have looked on the internet. There are soooo many to choose from. I think I will have to pick a select few and then get you ladies (Catsey people!!) to decide on the final one!

I'm sure we'll be glad to help you pick a mask - certainly it'll be closest I'll ever get to wearing one
