My Hair :-(

For some reason I decided to go back to my blonde, wishing now I hadnt.

I knew that it is goingto be a long process to get back to proper blonde, I had been warned about this when I first went dark.

Anyway, went for my first lot of highlights today, she warned me before she started that as this was the first time it may turn out blotchy, still I told her to carry on.

Its come out a bronze colour not blonde at all and looks a right mess, there are patches where it hasnt taken at all, and my roots which obviously were my natural blonde colour have gone really light I really wish I had just stuck with the brown. Im having an early leaving party next week and my hair is going to look proper naff
I know that after a couple more sessios it will look nice, but I have to wait at least 7 days before she can do it again so Im stuck with this for a while.

I cold just cry

Not a great pic but the best I could get myself -

Re: My Hair :-(

Oh Erin it's really not that bad! I was expecting a total disaster but it's really not! When I went from dark to blonde I pre-lightened it about 3 times, the lot, well of course it went orange the first time and then I had to wait 2 weeks before I could do it again, then it was straw yellow and the last time it was white with yellowy patches and I had to wait another 2 weeks again before I could put a normal dye over that!

I know what yoy mean and it's always worse when it's your own hair, but honestly it is not as bad as you described it just feels that way to you.

If anyone dares comment tell them it's a fashion statement!!!

Erin - it really isn't bad - I know we all say that and when it's yourself you are hypercritical.

If you really really hate it - why not go completely OTT and get some of those temporary hair colour pen things and do a multi-coloured stripy statement?

Erin, it honestly doesn't look that bad, really. Not what you wanted or expected, but it's not horrible. Just go to the party and be your usual bubbly self; bet no one will really notice or care!

Oh Random, I really shouldn't laugh, but that does sound perfectly horrid!

Re: My Hair :-(

Ive just spoken to my hair dresser (shes a friend of mine), before I left she told be to buy some silver shampoo, no idea what this is so have just rang her, its the sheer blonde shampoos, she says it will help bring the blonde out and lessen the bronze colour that it is at the moment, that should make it much better. That picture really doesnt show how blotchy it is. She has said that if she can squeeze me in next friday afternoon, she will do it again for me, so fingers crossed it will be ok for the party which is friday evening!
