Does the FURminator deShedding Tool cut the hair? A: No, the FURminator deShedding Tool does not cut or damage the coat, but rather pushes through the topcoat to remove the dead undercoat and loose hair. Q: Does the deShedding tool help prevent hairballs in cats? A: The FURminator deShedding Tool was nominated by Tufts University School of Veterinarian Medicine’s newsletter as the number one product to reduce hairballs in cats. Using the FURminator deShedding Tool on a regular basis, as well as the cat shampoo will help reduce shedding, thus reducing the amount of hair your cat ingests. |

More from their site...................... Q: Can the FURminator deShedding Tool be used in the winter or colder months? A: Since the FURminator deShedding Tool only removes the coat that has already shed from your dog, the tool is fine to use in the winter. You will most likely not have to use the tool as often as you would during heavy shedding months. Q: Can the FURminator deShedding Tool be used to remove mats or tangles? A: The FURminator Tool is not to be used to remove mats or tangles. The pet’s coat should be completely free of any mats or tangles before using the tool. We always recommend reading the tool instructions before each use. |

He sounds like a contender, Moli! Incidentally, do you have goldfinches in the UK? Here they breed in late Summer when the weed seeds are abundant and the thistles are available to line their nests....I'm saving this fur for them! Happy goldfinches.. |
