Re: Daily thread ~ misty mountain, Saturday

Been to asda having sweet chilli chicken noodles for dinner tonight and potato wedges with sour cream as a side dish. Nice cold weather food. Yummy.

Also been into Sutton and brought myself a pair of cord trouser in a nice olive green.

Not absolutely sure yet Kazz, we've been looking at the Cape Verde Islands which we have been considering for the last couple of years........ also a return to Croatia, really loved it there. This time though it would be south around the Dubrovnik area.

Re: Daily thread ~ misty mountain, Saturday

All's well here also; the predicted snow/rain event went further North than predicted so we escaped bad weather again! It's only 0C but there's some sunshine; not a bad day. Had already decided to skip the library run so took another sleep-in day and have just pottered around.

We have another mouse! Leia caught it at dinner time, but played catch-and-release with it; it disappeared behind the radiator, I think and presumably is still on the loose. I do wish she'd not do that! She wouldn't come up to bed last night, stayed down on mouse patrol ..

That's all my exciting news, hope all have a lovely weekend.

Kazz, I have no idea where they're coming from...well, "they" being only two so far this year. I have no objection to her killing them, but hate it when she lets them get away! No signs whatsoever of it today and she's not on alert...

Re: Daily thread ~ misty mountain, Saturday

DM, does Leia have the look of the cat that ate the canary on her face? LOL..

well i found out some news last night. the shelter monkey (one of my ferrets) was adopted from about 45 minutes away from me was completely flooded and all their supplies were wiped out. i looked on her website and it's just horrid and hits home to me even more considering i've been there twice and have talked to this lady multiple times in person, on the phone, email. she's very nice and doesn't deserve her fairly new shelter completely ruined. about 63 of the ferrets have been put into foster homes and 37 remain in her house until she can get back onto her feet again. if you're curious this is what the damage of the flood looks like on her website http://ferretcityshelter.org/flooddisaster.aspx
we are so lucky the flood waters have not affected our neighborhood this drastically. i feel very blessed and a little sad there's not much i can afford to do to help.
anyhow, dark and rainy here again today. will probably be going out later to run errands with OH. have it in mind i would like to have a good day today.
hope you all have/had a good one!

That is awful - water is so invading and causes such devastation. I really hope she gets the support she needs.
