Re: What does your cat weigh?

Portia is really lean and weighs 4kg although vet saw her last week and isn't concerned - just me because she is so skinny!

Haven't weighed Quando but I reckon he's about 6kgs ish but he is a muscular cat - not at all fat but solid when you pick him up!

Here you go Mags - Ebay sell thousands of lazer pens/pointers etc. My son has one which my cats love!

Re: What does your cat weigh?

Leia is 8, and weighs 14 pounds; I think she's a bit overweight although the vet didn't say anything about it when she was there; she is not an active cat; her idea of the feather on the string game is to lie on her side and swat at it! I may look into a laser pen, although isn't there some danger of hurting their eyes if they accidentally manage to look at it? Would appreciate some advice on this...

Onyx, my stray has never been weighed; I estimate she's about 6 pounds. She's a small cat and rather bony, even though I feed her two good meals a day...

Eileen, I had heard the same. Not sure if the ones that are specifically made for pets are safe or not?? I don't have a laser pen for this very reason.

yes the laser can damage the pets or your own eyes if its pointed into them. But its easy enough to keep pointed at the floor and keep away from the cats eyes. Loads of fun with minimal effort dogs love it too!

Re: What does your cat weigh?

Amber now weighs in at 5.08kg when she started on her diet she weighed 6.25kg.

I'm so so pleased with how she's done! Her target weight is 5kg. She's got lots of excess skin under her belly now though - I sometimes joke that I should her her a roller skate so she still looks fat in her tummy, but she's thinned out in her face and everywhere else now and she's much more playful

I know from the vet trip today that Bernard weighs 5.1kg.

I'm not sure about the others though

I think at a guess buster weighs about 4.9kg and Tilly weighs about 4.3kg.

Re: What does your cat weigh?

Bernie, aproximately 2.5 years old weighs 4.4 kilos
Eva (the Diva), 3 years old at last weigh in was 7.1 kilos, down from 7.6 kilos. She is a large cat, much larger built than Bernie. Vet wants her down to under 5 kilos though. Am dieting her slowly and excersising her more, must weigh her again soon.
