It is mags,very very difficult at times and very scarey too but the staff team are brilliant,we have a good laugh.

yeah you certainly do,honestly some of the abuse physical and verbal that we have to put up with is not for everyone,you have to learn to take things as a pinch of salt and laugh,if you didnt laugh in my job you would cry and end up an emotional wreck.Its a very physical job and keeps us all fit though!
The summer is the best month in my job,you can do more with the lads and we have loads of day trips out,its generally quite quiet with only a few incident's a week,the winter is the worst time because of the weather we are not able to get the lads out so we can have days with incidents taking place on every bungalow at the same time,and they can last all day,the job really gets to me in the winter,but the staff team all pull together and make all worth while

Erin I know in my mum's line of work (she's a residential social worker, basically a social worker in a care home), they have a certain number of days that they can have off due to illness or whatever, and if you go over that number in the specified period of time, then you are automatically required to have a full scale interview/meeting with personalle (who don't even work on site but are in charge of the whole area).

When my mum split with her fiance, she became really depressed and she was sent home a few times for just breaking down crying at work. She 'went over her limit' of days off every month for about 6 months and had to see personalle each time, but it was just precidure really and although her boss knew her personal circumstances (they are friends outside of work too), she still had to put the wheels in motion, so to speak, as it was just part of her job to report it.

I would tell your friend not to worry too much as it's usually nothing to worry about, especially as she has valid reasons for every absence, it's just a check up really to make sure everything is ok. I doubt she'll be reprimanded at all, especially if she usually has good attendance.

Good luck in getting it sorted, it must be nerve-wracking for her anyway.

Sara went to occy health today,the lady who she saw couldnt believe she was sent up to her told her she had nothing at all to worry about and sent her away,so she is very relieved.

Glad to read all went well, when I worked at the School, we only had to go to Occ. Health if we were out on long periods of time i.e. months not days, I saw them when I was out for a year on a few occassions, but they were really nice. x
