Hiya Dandysmom....no the Red squirrels seem to keep very much to themselves. They are the native species here and the Greys are the pests, they are threatening the Reds in a number of ways including a deadly Squirrel Pox which the Greys carry. In this area the Gamekeepers would shoot a Grey squirrel if they saw it. There are a lot of people dedicated to saving the Red squirrel which makes it all the more special to have it as a visitor.
Poor you with your squirrels...I remember being warned about them when i was in america as they were very forward...and were inclined to bite
