Re: Trouble coming to terms with my loss

By the way, how do I add a photo?

I've got them up loaded to Fishsnap.co.uk but can't find how to upload them.

I am so very sorry Chris and can only really echo what others have said.
If and when you feel up to it, please do share your pictures and stories of Ollie with us.
Many hugs to you and your partner xxx

Re: Trouble coming to terms with my loss

Even though I'm a 30 yr old male

Who ever said big boys don`t cry was talking twaddle-been there and have some idea how you feel.

Nobody can replace your loss but know folks here understand the pain you feel

Chris, I hope you stick around beyond your immediate need. And yes, I too look forward to seeing some pictures of Ollie when you're feeling up to it.

So sorry for your loss, naturally you will have a huge hole in your heart for sometime, it will get better, you will never forget him, but in time you will remember all the happy times you had together....
We are all here if you want to chat...

Re: Trouble coming to terms with my loss

The suddeness also brings joy with time, he never knew any unhappiness with you and never understood why all cats do not have slaves in their homes.........and he was doing what he wanted to do off on a stoll in the summer evening......totaly happy....what more can you offer your cats than complete love and freedom.

The shock will wear off and you will then remember the good times for he was never ill/old....or unwell.

That was beautifully put, Kazz........a comforting thought for someone whose cat went untimely ......

Re: Trouble coming to terms with my loss

Ta Eileen, the loss is a lot like mine of Tess.....sudden and totaly unexpected of a young healthy animal.....and you do "get over it" possibly quicker than you realise. Because you realise yourself they were totaly fine....and you are not to blame it was/is an accident.
