There's loads of info on the internet about cats giving birth. Google and have a good read.

Re: Tigerlily's Kitttens

When my cat had kittens last year she let me handle them the same day ...it depends on the relationship you have with your cat. Moses trusted me 100% i helped her deliver kitten number 2 as she was breech. I didn't let my children hold the kittens in the first week but did allow them to stroke them. We bought a travel cot which moses gave birth in and kept her kittens in till they needed to be litter tray trained. We left moses and the kittens in a quiet room for 24-48 hours after giving birth and didn't allow the children to go in unaccompanied.
I felt very privaliaged to be so involved at the kittens birth but didn't want to go through it again and we had her spayed ... you have to wait till she stops nursing then another 2 weeks.
Are you feeding your cat on kitten food now ? you should be and while she is nursing she needs kitten food for extra nutrients.
