Re: USA Elections

It's fascinating.
So different from our system. I don't think it's very good really but they are voting for a President, so it is bound to be more personal - more reactive to the person than the party.
I just hope that, when push comes to shove in November, the majority don't find themselves unable to chose either a woman or a 'black' and revert to the bloody Bush clones.

Whatever, a year from now there will finally be a new face in The White House.

?Bush; Clinton; Clinton; Bush; Bush; Clinton
What would that show us?

Re: USA Elections

Political dynasties, DM! Not just recently, the Adams, the Kennedys.....name recognition amd gobs of money.....but that was an interesting comeback in New Hampshire last night for Clinton and McCain. He worries me a bit; he is an honorable man, but he favors the war in Iraq....I'm afraid if he gets the Republican nomination and goes up against Clinton or Obama, there is a substantial number of people who say they aren't prejudiced against a woman or black but when they get in the privacy of the voting booth....??

Random mutterings from a liberal Democrat...
