Re: Teddie very bad again

Emma, I've seen many mentions of rescue remedy here, but confess I don't know exactly what it is! Is it something that you can mix in their food to lower stress levels? I'm thinking about Onyx here.....

Re: Teddie very bad again

Alex, I really can't imagine anyone on here is criticising you. I have total admiration for you and the way you are doing as much as you possible can for Teddie. I am sure everyone else feels the same.

I have no advice to offer but my only thought on the whole thing is that although it helps to starve Teddie when she has diarrhoea, this doesn't help in the long run, so not sure there is any point as it may be doing more harm than good???? Only my thoughts, I appreciate this is the advice we are given if they have the runs.

I really hope that by some means you can get the answers you need soon. xx

Dandysmom some more info on Rescue Remedy, it is safe for pets

I believe you can put some in Onyx's water or food.

Re: Teddie very bad again

it's a homeopathic remedy, you put a few drops on the tongue, or in drinking water.
It is good stuff & works well for dogs who get travel sick / nervous.

edit to add - it obviously has other uses & works well on cats too, but I was pointing out that i know it's very good with travel sickness.

Something I actually have in the house woo-hoo!! I have rescue remedy, but obviously hadn't thought of giving it to Teddie, but will do that now.

Re: Teddie very bad again

Teddie has had a mixed night!! She had the runs last night again, but nothing overnight. She then had a bit this morning after I gave her the chicken, so we'll see how she does today. Have given her a few drops of rescue remedy as well.

I'm tired Sweet, but not as down as I was. Thanks for asking!
