View Full Version : Tsunami
I know it's a depressing sujbect but what a terrible terrible thing to happen - I can't believe it when I see the pictures on the TV, is heartbreaking to watch :(
I donated a small amount, when we went out today ALL the shops are donating and even the cafe - all the tips went to the Tsunami distaster.
Yes, it was tragic wasn't it - it's going to take such along time to 'get back to normal'. It must have been terrifying to experience something like that and know that thousands had lost their lives.
Practically every shop you go into are collecting and I feel I have to give a little each time as it's the only way I feel like I'm doing something to help.
It was nice to see William and Harry helping out yesterday in the warehouse, that wasn't too far away from us.
Yeah I thought the same, I think everybody is effected by it - it's just mind blowing to think of all those lives lost. It's such a poor part of the worl too - I think it will take years and years for it to return to how is was, that is if it ever does! Extremely sad and upsetting.

The kiddies had a non-uniform day yesterday and all money raised was donated to the Tsunami fund.
My kids asked what the money was for and try explaining to a 4 and 5 year old about it :(
Awwww that's sweet Nae, and to think the little ones didn't realise how much they were helping - bless them!

There were people at Chepstow market raising money for the Tsunami fund but there have been so many sickos about who have been supposedly raising money for the fund and then pocketing the money for themselves that most people won't donate anymore :(
How anyone could do that is beyond me!
yeah best way is by phoning them up and donating i think.
it makes u wonder what else is around the corner doesnt it? And also spells out how precious life is and of those you love and care about.
Indeed - and appreciate EVERYTHING!

Yeah we take so much for granted these days. We think we have problems it's nothing compared to other people's
I think it'll make a lot of people more grateful for whay they've got.

My kiddies home yesterday with a little plaited bracelet.
The teachers and older children in the school had made them as rememberence bracelets :(
My little boy's exact words were 'They are to remember all the children who died in the big wave'
It brought a little lump to my throat that did
:( I have tears in my eyes, bless you little one.
