Christmas.......

Well, the time is approaching when we start trimming up the house. I love it......except when it comes to the Christmas tree.

I spend ages putting on loads of lights, baubles, tinsel etc. and stand back to admire what a good job I've made of it. :P

For the next few weeks I'm almost a nervous wreck trying to protect it from Cassie. The longest its lasted is one day!! She shoots up through the middle and perches herself firmly on the branches and it's impossible to budge her. I've tried wrapping extra tinsel around the middle of the tree but to no avail! I've picked up baubles scattered all over the floor and looked with sad dismay at my now pathetic Christmas tree :(

Strangely, she completely ignores the tree while we are in the room but as soon as the room is empty she goes to work on it!! Grrrrr!

Does anyone else's little angel turn into a :smt096 at Christmas?

Mine were quite interested last year until I sprayed it with "Pet Behave" they soon left it alone then!!!

rofl soz mags it did make me laff. Jas likes to help us 'decorate' the tree. He sometimes nudges the baubles off the bottom branches but nothing too major :lol:

My kids do more damage to the tree than he does :D

I always dread coming down in the morning and seeing the tree on the floor! It's bound to happen!

The room is out of bounds to Cassie at night and the door is always firmly shut! :wink:

Cheetah wasn't bothered by our tree last year... she was more concerned about the big bulge in her tummy :shock: lol

This year we won't be puttin one up cos we are still in the basement !!

Our neighbours have just brought in their tree :shock: We won't be putting ours up for about 3 weeks yet. :shock:

When we walked home this evening I saw a big snowman outside somebodys house - It's still NOVEMBER!! I could not believe it!

5, yes read FIVE, of our neighbours have put up lights and decorations. And thats only in sight of our yard!! :shock: One of them even has a HUGMUNGOUS tree set out in their yard, totally covered in lights!! :shock: Mad, they're all mad :?

Our tree won't be going up until at least the middle of December :(

And yes Azz, there are some lovely little trees around, you could get one but a) Cheetah might use it for a scratching post and b)well, I hate to say what Rocky might use it for! :lol:
