Yesterday Gill at Haven Rescue got a call to say someone thought there was a kitten in a river so she sped off with her son. Son had to go into the river to rescue a terrified ginger kitten. *He kept crying & slipping away up pipes or into reeds. *Chris got him eventually & took him to vets. *Vet says he is definitely no more than 6 weeks and very very thin. General opinion is someone threw this baby into the river :(

Any name suggestions?

This little boy needs fed up & given lots *TLC so will be with Gill a few weeks and then he has been booked already, so will never have to want for anything again ....*

Isn't he just precious...?

Oh poor wee sweetheart. How could anyone do something so heartless?

So glad to hear that he has a kind home lined up. "Tango" popped into my head for some reason.

Oh bless him, poor little scrap. How about Kingsley after the author of the Water Babies to celebrate his escape?

Aww that poor kitten! How could anyone do that to such a precious furry soul? Wow, thank goodness he was saved! The name that came to my mind was...Copper. Maybe Sunny or Mango. Hope he keeps getting better :D

He's a little survivor ........... bless him. What a handsome kitten, would tempt me to come all the way over to NI to pick him up if he didn't already have a home lined up.

Apparently hes quite vocal & i agree, he is quite handsome wee man. Once he gains a wee bit of weight Gill will worm
Etc. Still cant believe how anyone would or could throw a kitten into the river. Rescuers have neen back several times to check in case there was more than one but either he was just lucky & survived or it was a random cruel act.

I dont think the home he has lined up would part with him now, i will keep you updated on his progress

He has finally got a name - Oscar, so thank you folks :)
