Hmmmmm - that's something we'll have to look at when we get our pup. Our first "name on list" has not been successful, sadly. Still more opportunities to come.

OH is getting a bit impatient ..... we've been looking at rescues too. I have put my name on the breed rescue list, but they have a waiting list too. I think that's a really good recommendation for the breed, very rarely come into rescue.

Squirrel - for the effort you put into your presentations. I'd be dumbstruck. I suppose it's another form of acting really!

Aaah! Got you. I like it - except when I'm doing it and can feel myself shaking that is!

I like the creativity of it I guess - and the coming at it from another angle. I keep people on their feet until the very last minute as to what am going to do! :-D

Squirrel
09-03-2011, 09:35 PM
Sorry to hear that Pamela.

If I'm honest, I've only done two presentations while working. This one, which I've now done twice, and one which I did at the very first course I assisted at.

It helps that the course participants all do a presentation as well - to give them experience of what it could be like to do an interview - and since I'm saying in essence 'I'm very similar to you' the idea is that I'm going to inspire them...

how is the snow in other parts of the world? Ours thankfully melted early today :)

calismum
09-03-2011, 09:45 PM
The thing about Breagh is she has been escaping as much as posible ever since she was very young. On each occasion she takes off with no fear, not looking back.

I was worried she'd forget where she came from.

Izzi is too worried to go out and sits at the open door with a look of horror on her face.

OH said he was sure Breagh'd be fine so he just opened the door and let her go! Arghhh!

I can't believe they were born outside and spent the first three or four weeks of their lives living in the open!

dandysmom
09-03-2011, 09:45 PM

That's so true!

Squirrel
09-03-2011, 09:48 PM
I can understand that feeling when it comes to Izzi CM, though Breagh seems to have been born with a taste for the outdoors on her tongue!

And true Eileen - sometimes feels as if we could bump into each other on the street. Of course, probably could pass a few folks without knowing it here - esp if several of the Scottish people closish to Ed headed there for part of the day at some point, but otherwise...

Mine has been blooming for a while ..... not sure for how long as it's on a south facing wall down the side of the bungalow. I must try and remember to take some cuttings as I need to plant some in a place where it's more easily seen. Been really lovely this year.

Has anyone noticed how many catkins there have been this year? Is it me, or is it loads more than usual???
