No, not funny to me, cats are beautiful creatures, they don't need to look like clowns to entertain sad humans. It's not 'cool' but neither would it be 'cruel' just ... don't!

Dogs don't seem t mind "dressing up", but cats hate it! The are far too dignified to enjoy being made fools of.

Are the cats bothered by it, well, just look at them. They obviously HATE being dressed up like a doll. Is it being done to in any way benefit the cat? I can't see how. Therefore, its cruelty by my estimation.

Trust me to be the odd one out, but not sure I would class it as cruel, I suppose to me it would depend on what was leading up to the pictures been taken.
Not for me dressing up anything a dog or a cat or an elephant. But don't consider it cruel in itself. Not cool but not not cruel.....bit of a sado behind the camera maybe.

whatever floats your boat I say.

Not cruel or cool in my opinion.

No harm done in putting a hat on your cat is there?

Looks absolutely ridiculous and is cruel to a certain degree. I suspect the owners are the type of people who put their 6 year old daughters into those horrendous American "beauty pageants". Just not something I like to see.

And those poor Sphynx cats must have enough issues with altered body image, what with being bald, without the added insult of being made to wear hooman clothing :D

I think it is cruel, but I hate any animal being dressed up unless it is strictly necessary (for example putting a coat on a greyhound when it is 2c outside is OK, but putting the same dog in a "santa suit" at Christmas is not).
