Have you noticed though how MEN like satnav voices-poor chaps need the reassurance I think. I quite enjoyed arguing with the Patrick Stewart sound-alike.

We don't have one but do borrow O/H brothers occasionaly. If we make a wrong turning she says "Take the next left, do a u turn, next right etc. Sometimes it isn't possible to do what she says so she keeps repeating it and i'm sure i can hear an edge in her voice ;)

Ours turns itself on and talks in the glove box! Frightens you to death!

Somebody I know has one with the voice of Ozzy Osbourne! Can you imagine whats said if you take a wrong turn!

I did have the voice of Sean Connery on mine which was rather nice.....especially when I had reached my destination he would say "you have reached your destination - shaken but not stired!!!" HAHAHAHA!!!!

Don't have a satnav now, but had an in-built one 4 or 5 years ago. I too swear she used to get more and more frantic if you ignored instructions. The funniest thing was when we drove to Austria . . . the american accented voice (it was a Lexus, built primarilly for the US market) really struggled with some of the longer town names.
