Doesn't it make you wonder how people in Alaska live...with this sort of cold week in week out.

Lovely picture Elaine.

I had dogs to walk and if I go the other way, i.e. into Torry, I meet all the chavs/junkies with their staffie x's. Because the dogs I walk there are yappy, to say the least, the junkies/chavs think it's funny to set their dogs on us.
So tough choice, I walk them on the ice, atleast they can get onto the verge, and risk a fall or I walk them through junkieville and have to avoid getting bitten or having dead/injured dogs on my hands.....
Sad but true;)

ah yes, Torry the land of the misfits  I lived there for 2 years, couldn't get out fast enough! Which is a pity, because there is the lovely walks round the coast and the battery (if they would only do something with it!). Used to love driving up there in the summer and watching for seals and porpoise etc :)

That looks so cold. Was updating some of my family tree yesterday and found relatives living in Torry East - I had never heard of it and here you both are talking about it. I wondered what it was like (my relatives stayed there in 1870 - so I assume it's changed lol)

In 1870 it would have a small but close knit community, at one time, dont know the dates, it was a town all of it's own until the bridge was built to link it with Aberdeen.
