I've written a poem for our neighbour for her girl Poppet, what do you all think? :D
Poppet
There’s a sweet black and white girl
Who lives at number 8
She loves company, likes a fuss
Loves to fuss you as well.
She’s happy to sit quietly,
Likes going outside when she thinks nobody’s watching
The kitchen is her favourite place,
It’s where the chicken is!
She likes watching birds,
Wishes she could catch them all
But she’s happy just watching them.
Poppet’s being a brave girl
She’s started to sit with her mum
In the sitting room.
Brave girl Poppet has a boyfriend
He brings her little gifts
In the shape of a dead bird or two.
Poppet and her boyfriend Dylan
Often visit each other
But only on neutral territory
If they meet on their own territory
One will chase the other off
But they still like each other!
Poppet loves her mum
She’s happy in her new home
And she’s really enjoying
Being able to roam outside once more!
