Shock horror report (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8147566.stm) from learned people!
Well, we cat owners have known that our cats have us wrapped round their little furry paws for years, haven't we?

I immediately wanted to put some food in Pepo's bowl.... I did not find his purring annoying, rather imploring and after all, easily satisfied.

Wrapped around their furry little paws? Absolutely!

Unbelievable. All they had to do was ask anyone owned by a cat ......

Apparently there is a persistant/plaintive purr that cats do which is on the same wave length as a babies crying...when hungry.

I could have told them that though, all that research.
