Actually that is not always true, Siamese having very long memories ie if I stroked her yesterday she runs or keeps a certain distance between us today.

I say stroked. Maybe I laid a hand on her gently for a split second.

In all other ways she is getting braver, loves her toys and likes her routines. She will take treats out of my hand - but ducks and runs if a stroke is looming.

We have lived through our second season - they seem to last a couple or three days, then she is quiet again. But I stand not hope of getting her into her carrier.

Which begs the question, do I make the appointment to get her spayed before or after I get her in the basket!!!

Ah well. She follows me around all the time and chats quietly. she is lovely. Just very highly strung. And very badly socialised as a kitten.

I'm so glad things are finally improving. Could you discuss this with your vet, arrange to call and bring her in as soon as you get her in the carrier so she could stay overnight and have the surgery the next day? That would mean an overnight at the vets, but at least it could be done that way. And while I'm sure she'll hate it there, she might be so relieved to get back home that she won't be too distressed at what happened...

I think that's really sound advice from USDM - why not give your vet a ring?
