i was in the kitchen putting the bacon on to boil. and reggies in there. so i gave him a sliver of meat. and then that started him off. he was in and out of my legs, and i found myself arguing with him. im saying "u cant have any more" and hes saying "no" well sounded like that anyway LOL and then i say what do u want, and he replied *owl* well im not catching one of them for sir. so then he says *whale* u seen the size of them things. so boy nope. .
but why was i arguing with a 12 inch high cat

Dylan did something similar in the kitchen yesterday when I was in the kitchen making biscuits. He kept meowing for the biscuits! I was busy talking to him telling him he won't like biscuits!

Not just daft woman time boys mum - daft CAT woman time ... there's a world of difference!

I am the last person in the world to call anyone else daft for talking, or indeed arguing, with their cats!!!

Funny how often OWL and WHALE come up in conversations of the furry feline kind!

lol, I do this as well. Especially with Cooper. If you have cold meat within 10 feet of him he's all over you like a rash!

Chester and Kado do the same. I had a ham sandwich earlier and had it in my hand and Chester swiped it out and started to eat the meat.

Bottomless pits, our cats! They may have just eaten but if they see something interesting you have........

Edited to say that Leia's very good, simply because she doesn't like "people food!. But my boys....steal a piece of fish right off your plate if you weren't watching!!!

A tortie I used to have once stole a piece of ham out of the middle of a roll so deftly that it took my OH a while to work out why his ham salad roll had suddenly turned into a salad roll. I'm veggie so it was the first chance she had at nicking meat. Lucky he has a sense of humour- that was shortly after we first met and our 17th anniversary is coming up.

Casper has been known to sit on the chair beside me, and swipe something off of my fork!!!

My pal's Sheba used to do that! Sit on his shoulder and make a quick swipe...

Reminds me of the occasion years ago - we hadn't had Merlin long, he was still a kitten and one Sunday morning my OH and I were treating ourselves to a full English breakfast. Merlin thought he spied a ping pong ball on OH's plate and batted it across the room. It was, of course, a mushroom!
