Okay people how long do you estimate a refund should take to reach your account. ie spendable. this is a large retailer we are talking about, not a one man band. I am stating debit as apposed to credit card in case there is a difference.http://www.dogsey.com/images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif
Thanks Karen

Kazz it should be instant on to a debt card.

Yes, it should be 'real time', just like the debit is! But in reality it's not always the case.

When I have had refunds, it has taken up to a week to get into my account...

Kazz I had a problem with the Co-op over a Dyson and it took them a couple of weeks for the money to be put back on my card. I think by law they have to refund within 30 days.

Depending on the system they use, whether it's Barclay's (the slowest) or one of the others. It should take the same ammount of time it took to leave your account. It should be instant but some systems are slower than others. Bank of Scotland and HSoB is instant. Barclays can take a few days.

I'm not sure what system they use. Did they swipe your card or did you put in a pin?

How was the refund carried out? Were you there?

I was there and put in my pin number....How does that help, and do you work for a banking system in your spare time?

Haha Kazz. I used to work in the Bank full time:-D . If you were there, put in your pin, by rights it shouldn't take any more than 24 hours.
OK they could say there was a problem with the link but I wouldn't give them any more than 10 days.
