Now I know it's a difficult question but what would you do, here are the options.

a) take it with you like I did when I moved

or

b) take your 10yr old to the vets to be PTS like a lady did today

Needless to say, the little pudding is now in CP care. :)

:o poor kitty! How do people do that? Okay so it's bad enough they don't wanna take their poor kitty with them but why not atleast try and find a rescue for them to go to first?

So glad the kitty is safe now :D

Take them with me ALWAYS.
Poor kitty, why on earth would you take them to be pts or abandon them, dont think I'll ever understand people and their attitude to animals.

I hope the kitty concerned finds a caring forever home very soon and can live out it's life in comfort.

I thought I'd misheard when I got the phone call about her. She is staying in the vets overnight until a place is sorted out for her, she may be coming here, but I'm not sure as there are litters due to come in. :? I'll keep you posted, good news is she's safe & warm. :)

Sickening . . . I could happily slap someone that does something like that VERY hard. My 2 are 10 years old and they are a totally intrinsic part of my family. I worry about them as much as I worry about my kids.

Its a disposable world we live in to some people animals are three a penny...too many being born and not enough homes. So dispoable like dogs...:(

The woman it seems at least told the truth to the vet could have said something else and the vet would have PTS.

Oh and my answer would be take the cat, I brought the house with the cats in mind cul de sac, no main roads. etc etc

I really wish I'd have been there at the vets when she came in. seriously I would have liked to have met her, & asked her a few questions, or even been a fly on the wall in the vets.

{Anyway then I could have given her a little something from Yola :-D }

:?
Beggars belief doesn't it?
Five years ago I was working out how to take 2 cats to Canada and which airline takes animals in the cabin ..... that was all sorted before the job interview took place. And then the whole job fell through, but at least the cats were sorted just in case.
And if people are like that with pets it's hardly surprising that so many human relationships are transient too.

She's safe & well & in my pen. :-D
.......and a lot happier, I daresay, if she had an owner who was prepared to do that to her!

I was thinking the same thing: what sort of life did she have with a person who'd discard her like a used kleenex! I hope she finds a loving forever home......

No question. All my animals would make the house move as well. I can't believe anyone would even think otherwise.

Just trying to catch up on all the posts here and just read this. Poor baby :( I've moved often and the first thing I always look for in a house is cat suitability hehe. If I really couldn't take my cats with me, I would find them good homes or as a last resort let them go to one of the rescue places.

How people can be so thoughtless is beyond me :(

I hope the kitty finds a really good home.

Grete :)

we have moved a few times now, and always we have looked for a property that will suit our pets. turned a few down because they just where not right for them.
that woman should be banned from keeping animals for life, hope her discription has been circulated around all the other CP ppl.
