My friend Ian who took one of the lovely black kittens that my cat Willem had phoned me today while i was at work. I couldnt ring him back until i got home. That was when he told me that his lovely little cat had been killed.
Little Misty was knocked down by a transit van. It happened very quickly. She was hit on the side of her head and died immediatly. A neighbour saw it happen and took her to the vets but she had already gone. The neighbours children knocked on Ians door and asked if he had a black cat. He went to the vets to see and sure enough, it was her.
Animals to some people are like people, like members of your family. You love them as much, sometimes more than humans. I know how heartbroken Ian is, Misty was Willems daughter, Ftumpshs sister. I saw her into the world. She was a very happy cat and has had a fantastic happy year with two loving owners that her little life was sure worth living.
I feel so sad knowing that one of Willems babies has gone. They were the bestest kittens anyone could hope for. They all celebrated there 1st birthday on the 13th August.
