Ok guys the earliest memory thread got me thinking and reminiscing.
Its often heard said that childrens tv programmes arent what they used to be. I certainly agree as seeing some of the things they put on for kids nowadays dont seem half as much fun as what they did when i was a kid (:oops: 36 arhhem years ago :oops: :lol: )
So what were your favourite programmes then that you would like to see back on tv now.
Mine were:
Fraggle rock, itsy and bitsy, pipkins, you and me with crow and alice and many more i will add when i remember them.
Come on guys thinking caps on and lets remember the good ole days lol

rainbow bright,
shoe people ooooohhhhh i cantremember the rest,just gonna pop to dogsey lol

Oh god Smudgley now you got me thinking i remember Timmy Mallet but not sure what the programme was called are you sure it wasnt mallets mallet as it sounds familiar

timmy mallet yeah omg and i LOVED budgie but the raggy dolls is tops for me,the theme tune is just ace!!!!!!!

Not a lot of kiddie Tv when i was little - not a huge lot of TVs actually. Didn't have one in my house till I was 9, although my gran had one before that.

i can remember trumpton and camberwick green, mr ben, bod, i deffo remember grottbags.
Trumpton was the one with the firestation i think JM cos if i remember rightly camberwick green was the one with the windmill and windy miller although i could be wrong.
I certainly remember black beauty, lassie, flipper and does anyone remember skippy the bush kangaroo god he was a clever kanga lol

Yes JM - there was a Trumpton clock!!! I have all 3 (Trumpton, C. Green and Chigley) on DVD ostensibly for my 3 1/2 year old but tbh I spend ages watching them AND Bagpuss AND Mary, Mungo and Midge (girl, dog and mouse who live in a flat in a 'town'). Narrated by Richard Baker, ex-newsreader.
