Good morning, bright and sunny but still a bit nippy here. Have an optician's appointment at 10, then it will be back to the land :) . Am not too creaky today, after my long, hard, session yesterday. Had a very good steak at the pub last night, and back in time for a giggle at Life on Mars (Tony & Cherie Blair :smt005 ).

Hi - I'm off to work now.
I've been having some really late nights home last week & this week, so hope to get back at a decent time today.
May have another cat coming in, but still not really heard much more about her other than she's 3 & she's pregnant. We'll see what happens.
This evening I have a ginger cat staying overnight as I said I'll drop him off at the specialist vets tomorrow, he has a referral to a vets near where I work as he has a heart problem.

Another lovely day here...a bit nippy here also, I am having a day out today with my friend, not sure doing what as yet probably browse the shops etc...

I love hearing the birds singing when you can have the doors and windows open it sounds beautiful.

What a beautiful morning!!! Not a cloud in the sky :D My curly willow is sprouting leaves like crazy, and my dwarf cherries will be flowering shortly at this rate as they are covered in buds :D

Back at work today and again battling with the delights of email marketing . . . . don't get me started :mad: but I shall continue smiling coz today's weather means I can't be down.

Life on Mars was excellent last night, DM you'll enjoy it :-D

Eileen - to answer your question in yesterday's DT, I got chives, mint, bay, sage, flat-leaf parsley and rosemary. The bay may go to my Mum as I have 2 huge bay trees already but the remainder will be very well utilized over the coming months :D

Morning all, Lovely warm sunny day here :cool: Have seen Em off this morning on her School residential trip to Whitby. She won't be back until Friday. She was sooooo excited! Have done the horses. Got a dental appointment with the hygienist this afternoon :? and not much else planned. Going to get some washing on the line. My Magnolia -my favourite tree and Lucky's tree in the garden is full of buds, it looks beautiful.

Lovely day here after a very nippy start....

My daughter came round for a couple of hours earlier....... had a good natter and a Cappuccino and made plans for our special Mother's Day lunch out on Sunday:D

Jane: hope the exam results are good; Yola: nice herb selection, but no basil? Sunny and mild again today; porch door is open so Leia can go in and out at her pleasure instead of my playing doorkeeper! She better enjoy it while it lasts, going to be cold rain and maybe a few flurries over the weekend, only in 40's (F). Been to the market, got potting soil so I can start seeds this weekend ! Off to fix lunch now.....

I had a spot of mild amusement today. Went to the optician for my check up, with these new, wear-all-the-time contacts. She looked at my eyes with the lenses in and all was well, then asked me to take them out. I did and she popped some flourescent orange 'stuff' in, to check there were no ulcers etc. Again, all was well. She asked did I want to put the lenses back but i said no, i'd have this as my 'day off'.
Then, I went to get a Happy Birthday helium balloon for my dad tomorrow. Did I want it in a bag? No, it's OK, I'll just take it on its string. One more errand - pick up OH's dry cleaning. In I go, the assistant laughs at my balloon and asks if it's a fancy dress party and am I going now? No, I reply :smt017 , pay for the cleaning and head off back to the car. Whilst tying the balloon to the headrest, so it behaved whilst I drove home, I caught sight of myself in the rear-view mirror - :shock: - eek! I have bright orange eyes!
Wish she'd told me :roll: I'll know next time!

Oh DM. that's a good one! My eye doctor uses those awful dilating drops and I always feel weird on the bus going home because my pupils are so enlarged I look as if I were on drugs!! Orange eyes...that is really funny..:-D

That dye that they put into eyes is awful!! Im assuming its the same sort of stuff they put into cats eyes?!! The reason I ask is because Oli had some orange drops put in his eyes about two weeks ago. The dye stained his white fur, under his eyes and has not long gone!
