Riddle Help

Does anyone know the answer to this riddle? My mum sent it to me, but won't give me the answer until tonight, and it is driving OH and me nuts!!:mad:

What has 2 arms and 2 legs but runs better without the legs?

Anyone got any ideas?

me too. I'm trying to think along the lines of things that run. water, an engine, mmmm can't think. Will keep trying. :?

Dunno.
Lateral thinking - 'different' arms and legs and runs.
So arms = guns
arms = coat of arms

legs = home & away as in football matches etc

runs = like liquids/tap
runs = like your nose

Ring any bells with anyone? I usually find if I don't get it straight away then i never will. Make sure you tell us the answer Alex
