We are so very close to finishing off the work on the house, but it really desn't feel Christmassy, I like to have my tree up early & get organized. But look at my lounge, where the tree is going!

Oh dear, I see what you mean Smudgley :? I'd be inclined to write any decorations off this year and just think how nice it's going to be when finished....

I bet the girls are disappointed though :(

watch this space Mags.
There will be a lovely tree surrounded by presents in there before long. ;)
My poor hubby is working really hard & although it looks a mess, he's done most of the painting, so there's only the floor to lay & a few finishing touches. (& all the doors to put back on Oh & the wood to stain)
I'll post some more photos after the weekend, he wants to move into the room on Monday

Edit to add ~ although it looks like bare plaster - it is actually painted, it's a stone/natural colour. Photo doesn't do it justice.

It doesn't look far away to me Smudgley. Your staircase looks nice I forgot you'd extended upwards too. Once the floor is down it will feel complete. Putting doors on isn't hard and the staining will be better when stained which also is;t a big job what colour stain are you going wood stain wise???

You're nearly nearly nearly there Smudgley - soon the work will be a distant memory you can erase from your mind. Thank goodness!
