what are you lot like? i dont post for ONE day and you get your collective knickers in a twist!

not been on for three reasons,
one have throat infection and feeling so bloody tired. (yes mummy kay I DID go doctors today!!!)
two, am on pay as you go dial up at moment, until I get new broadband provider sorted
three, been busy watching movies :-)

I'm fine though, bit of sore throat and temperature. but nothing that wont go in a few days.

so you can all stop your worrying now lol

Throat-infection is no excuse! :-) Have you tried *not* shouting at the screen? :-D
Go easy on yourself. If it's taken that much out of you, you'll need to ease back into normal life again. Hitting the ground running tends to crash you into a wall. Personal experience here... : /

Hia ll
I am fine. Few reasons I not been on. Have been feeling a little tired and achey and worn out lately. been to my GP a few times, and up the hospital too. consultant at hospital think I may have CFS ( chronic fatigue syndrome- formerly known as ME) Ordering more tests to rule out other conditions, incuding a lumbar punch, which I am not looking forward to.
It's kind of a relief to ahve a diagnosis on the horizon, after years of problems, been almost four years now on and off.
Nothing that will hold me back for long though. And nothing that I will let change my life much at all.

Also still on pay as you go dial up internet, so dont come on much. Stilla rgiung with NTL trying to sort it all out.

I'll soon be back annoying you all!!!!

Pleased to hear everything's (kind of) all right!!! Hurry on back soon - we're looking forward to your return :D

Just a thought, when I was tired constantly it turned out to be an overactive parathyroid which only came to light when it deposited enough calcium around my body to close-on kill me!!!

Have you been checked for those? They're tricky little so-and-sos and nowhere near as easy to diagnose as ordinary thyroid. The only reason I mention it is the specialist told me that often symptoms are mis-diagnosed as ME!!!!!!

Glad to hear from you, Carly; hope all goes well now. Never heard of pay as you go dialup; sounds awful! I have dialup but it's just a flat monthly fee...I'd be bankrupt if I had that lol

doing fine here.
Not letting things get me down. Hubby and kids are being really supportive and keeping me going. to be honest after years of fatigue, aches n pains etc it's nice to be heading towards a diagnosis.
I've had (so far) blood tests done, too many to name lol,. had a head ct to check it nothing to do with my stroke, i get my bp and diabetes checked regularily anyway, basically to diagnose CFS i been told they have to rule out diagnosis of everything else possible first lol

I do get my days when I cant leave the house as am physically too tired. but the boys are wonderfull, and hubby stays here as often as he can to help.

Also I have a new lap friend, princess! over the past few weeks she has really become my little lap cat, and loves laying on my lap for belly rubs and ear tickles. And of course Mr d gets jealous and tried to squeeze on my lap too.

Am sure i'll soon be back.....

thanks yola, that's something i can discuss with my consultant next time I go back to the hospital.
Basically my symptoms for almost four years have been
frequent fatigue, though not constant.
Also if i have a good day and do stuff a few days later i'm back to the fatigue. A lot of the time I cant even leave the hosue as feel so worn out.

aches and pains in joints, sometimes so bad i cant even eat a meal in one go cos lifting a fork makes my arms ache.even holding the hone up makes my arms hurt. Getting bathed and dressed is often a chore/

I also get frequent headaches and migrains, sore throats and cold like syptoms with no cold.

Also lack of concentration, insomnia, (no suprise i cant concentrate then) or i want to sleep all the timl, depression, and anxiety.

It's kinda nice to think I'm not just a hypocondriac and that there is something wrong that i can now work on.
taking vitmains with iron, calcium, glucosamine, and a few prescribed things.

Determined not to let it get me down.

of course it could all just be old age :-)

How are all the pets doing? I hope Princess has recovered now.....aren't we due another pic soon?:D

just a quick update
I am being booked into my nearest sleep disorder clinic to be tested for sleep apnea, to see if it's that casuing my problems and NOT CFS.

Feeling ok though, despite having cold and chest infection ( the throat infection seems to have gone to a cold and cough thing that sat on my chest)
Unusual for me to get chest infections this time of year, uaullsy get them and/or bronchitis throughout winter. but am on antibiotics still and doing ok.

Am dosing myself with vitamins and things from health shops to see if i can boost my immune system and energy a bit.
Seems to be working!!

Not much else to say really, keeping my chin up and not letting the b******s get me down :-)

thank you ladies.
I'm feeling ok in myslef despite everything. Seems there always something brewing!
I'm actually jsut trying to see how many syndromes i can collect lol.
So far have been diagnosed with:
PMS, PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) IBS and restless leg syndrome!
as well as diabeties, arthirits, a nut allergy, asthma, ezcema hayfever, migraines, and high blood pressure.

When they ask me in hospital what medical conditions I have I always ask them if they have a large box to write in, or a spare sheet of paper!!!!

It'll all get sorted and under control eventually, at elast now something is getting done about it
