Dinky the dog turned to me and said "Well, there's a thing"
I said " what sort of thing?"...........
"well, anything is a thing of course or it wouldnt be a thing but a nothing"
(silly humans)
A fluffy kind of thing............
I looked a bit closer...and would you believe it:shock: ....it was a.............
Huge big fluffy bunny..............
He said "What are you doing in my home?" (Clever bunny this one!;) ).........
I am looking for a toilet...do you have one??
"Sure" said the bunny, "if you climb up out of my home you will find a black tump outside....that's my loo"...........
(whats a tump?)
I said to him " i can't climb out again, it's too far and too steep"
(whats a tump?)

tump = small hillock or mound of earth in this part of the country!:-D
I felt a little nip and I was up and out in a flash. I then went...........
Off down the road to visit.......
the local farmer who had promised me..........
A Huge Neep for my tea...............
It was so big I had to roll it down the hill with Dinky in hot pursuit. Suddenly it smashed into a tree, exploded and out popped.............
Mum Field mouse and her 4 little babies...who look at me as if to say.....
"Please don't hurt my babies...I only took refuge in the neep when my babies were due". Poor mummy mouse was shaking and very frightened, so I..........
Very carefully scooped up the babies and put them into a pile of leaves, mummy jumped in beside them, thanking me, off we set again, but as I got to the corner...........
a herd of cows were hurtling towards me.......
I panicked. "What shall I do now?"
I 'flew' up the nearest tree just as the cows thundered beneath me. I thought I was safe when suddenly something very strange happened..........

just like 'Jack and the Beantalk' the tree grew and grew and grew. It made it easier for Dinky and me to keep our handhold and we found a comfortable place to sit in the fork of a branch. We watched the fields growing smaller and smaller as we shot upwards .............
We started going through fluffy white clouds.........
(i can't even think waht to write next but you lot are loopy!)

and finally came to a gentle stop. Dinky and I looked round and could not believe what was in front of us

So, I took a few deep breaths and Dinky put his paw on my arm, which reassured me a little. But it didn't do anything towards getting me home. Where on earth was home? Was it hundreds of feet below, at the foot of the tree trunk? But remember - we had fallen down a hole originally? So did I need to go up - or down? Oh dear. A tear sprang into my eye.

I was amazed :shock: when Dinky spoke to me ....
Then I remembered we were out of the hole (see post 15:-D )
Dinky said "Let's carry on up mum....I may be barking up the wrong tree:roll: but I think we may find something exciting at the top".
So upwards and onwards they went.............

It was all so confusing! :? ........and odd. Holes/trees/clouds - ah my!:?
"Dinky", I said, "How long have you been able to speak?" :shock:
"I've always been able to speak, Mum" he said "It's just that you haven't been able to hear and understand me" " It's good here, isn't it? Before we go any further I want to have a word about when you took me to the vets when I was a teenager......"
"No time for that sweetie" I said "I think we may get a little involved with what's up ahead............................................. ......."
They continued the climb until they reach the very top where all the branches spread out to make a platform. They were able to rest, no more climbing.....the sun was shining brightly and as they looked around..............

........they saw that the tree wasa beautiful peach tree - with blossom, leaves and fruit, all at the same time. They picked and ate some of the peaches, which, together with the sunshine, cheered them up a little. But they still didn't really know where they were. Someone came towards them - it was
...a little old man with a long white beard......and following him were lots and lots of cats, dogs and other animals. "Haven't seen you here before, m'dear" he said, "how can I help you?"............

"I suppose the first thing I'd like to know is where I am? - it sems like ages ago that Dinky and I set out for a walk, and, what with one thing and another, and lots of adventures, neither of us quite know where we are or even what day it is"

"Well that's an easy one" he answered "Don't be alarmed; this place is called Rainbow Bridge, but I can see there's been some mistake, because we're not expecting you for a long long time"

The old man led us to a lush green meadow with a wavering stream trickling through the middle. Dinky and I sat in the warm sunshine and looked around at all the animals....we were amazed...they all looked so happy...........
